Foster Care Awareness Event

We are excited to welcome Dr. Kimberly Henkel, founder and Executive Director of Springs of Love, who will speak about the foster care crisis and practical ways every Catholic can help. A representative from Olive Crest will also share about the needs of children and families in Orange County. Light refreshments will be provided.
Springs of Love is a national Catholic ministry with chapters across the country that invites Catholics to discern how they are called to care for vulnerable children through fostering, adoption, and parish-based support. The ministry partners with parishes to walk alongside foster and adoptive families so they are never alone.
While not everyone is called to foster or adopt, everyone can do something—through prayer, encouragement, mentoring, respite care, or practical support. This gathering will also explore the possibility of launching one or more Springs of Love Chapters within the diocese, creating parish-based communities of support for foster and adoptive families.
All are welcome—especially foster and adoptive families, couples discerning this call, and anyone interested in learning how they can support vulnerable children.
