Catholic Detention Ministry
We provide and support programs to heal relationships broken by crime. We provide spiritual nurturing, guidance and education to Catholic adults and juveniles incarcerated in the Orange County jail systems. In the community, we have formed coalitions with other civic and faith-based groups to provide support to victims, their families, families of the incarcerated and those re-entering society in the form of education, support groups and referrals. We bring awareness and advocate for Restorative Justice practices, policies, and legislation at both the state and local levels. Within the jail systems, we provide weekly Bible studies, communion services, one-to-one visits, sacramental preparation, Masses, confessions and other services throughout the year.
