Safe Environment Training

CIRCLE OF GRACE

Circle of Grace is used at all of our parishes and centers in the Diocese of Orange as a training program for children in grades K-8.  This curriculum developed by the Archdiocese of Omaha serves the dual purpose of educating and informing children about the value of positive/healthy relationships with God and others.

RCL BENZINGER FAMILY LIFE SERIES

RCL Benziger Family Life is used at all Diocesan schools, grades K-8. The safety program integrates child safety education into a holistic approach to family life education. In every lesson of every grade level, children develop the knowledge, self-confidence, and assertiveness skills they need to RECOGNIZE, RESPOND, and REPORT dangerous situations. Family Life is based upon nationally recognized principles for a successful child safety program.

BREAKING THE SILENCE (GRADES 9-12)

Breaking the Silence is a powerful tool that utilizes an interactive DVD format to encourage teens to talk about sexual abuse and also to describe the danger signs of a potential abuser. Teens typically are not comfortable talking about sexual abuse and it is their silence that makes it easier for offenders to continue stalking their targets and for victims to suffer alone.
