Pregnancy Support and Resources

We Were Born Ready was created by the California Conference of Bishops to empower, equip, mobilize, resource Catholics to fulfill their baptismal call to serve women, children, and families, especially women in difficult and unexpected pregnancies.

Along with the Catholic bishops of California, the Diocese of Orange has pledged to unite our state’s life-affirming pregnancy shelters, centers, and clinics, creating an accessible statewide network to accompany women facing challenging pregnancies and in the early years of parenthood.

Hope & Healing After Abortion

Hope and Healing After Abortion is a sensitive, private, confidential experience of accompaniment. Our volunteers aim to provide a caring, compassionate, and non-judgmental presence for anyone who is suffering from the affects of abortion and who is seeking reconciliation with God and their faith community.

Walking with Moms (and all) in Need

Everyone should know how to help moms in difficult circumstances.

Walking with Moms in Need is a process through which Catholic parishes and communities “walk in the shoes” of local pregnant and parenting women in need.

While not trying to turn Catholic parishes into pregnancy centers, we can support local pregnancy centers where they exist, and we can also find and share other resources with pregnant and parenting women.

June 23, 2022 Statement

“Roe might be overturned, but abortion will continue to be widely available in California. As bishops, we have been awed by the response of our Catholic community to reject the violence of abortion and to embrace the call to love and serve our sisters and families struggling with challenging pregnancies.”
