The House of Prayer for Priests

A Spiritual Retreat Space in Orange County, California

An oasis of peace and calm permeates the House of Prayer for Priests, an Orange County, California retreat center
specially built for priests. Priests who need time and space to rest, pray and rejuvenate are welcome.

On this video, previous Director Father Domenico Di Raimondo, MSpS, offers a personal invitation and tour:

An Oasis of Peace for Priests

Every priest knows in his heart that one day, Jesus came into his life and invited him to be His friend and to share in His mission.

Fidelity to this friendship calls for openness to His love, personal and creative response and quality time together. Jesus will reappear and say, “Do you love me?” We will respond over and over again, “Lord, you know everything, you know that I love you.” “Then follow me.”

The House of Prayer for Priests is designed in spare Southwestern style surrounded by California native plants. A peaceful entrance fountain recalls the healing water of the Holy Spirit. Eight private hermitages with bath, bedroom and patio, offer the solitude necessary for rest and prayer.

Relax in the Company of Spiritual Companions

The demands of our society, the complexity of our times, and the amount of our pastoral demands, also require from each priest time for reflection and discernment, physical, emotional and spiritual rest to re-create oneself, and the loving presence of spiritual companions.
