Contributions to the Pastoral Services Appeal, or PSA, are used by the Diocese of Orange to support various programs and ministries that further the mission of our Catholic faith: helping others find a path towards Jesus Christ. These ministries and services include Catholic Education, Catholic Charities of Orange County, Seminarian Formation, Vocations, The Permanent Diaconate, Priest Retirement, and so much more. In fact, for every dollar given, 95 cents goes directly to fund the vital initiative in our local Church. Only 5% of your contribution is used for administrative, communications and/or fundraising costs (national average is 20%).

Contributions can quickly and easily be made a number of ways:

Give through a Qualified Charitable Distribution or IRA Rollover: If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make a tax-free donation directly from your IRA account. For instructions and form, please click here.

Give Online by clicking here. This online form provide a safe, fast and secure portal for contributions to be made via credit card or direct debit.

Give At Your Parish: Pledge forms are available at your parish; just fill out the provided fields and leave it at the parish office, offertory basket or collection box. A return envelope is included in case you’d prefer to mail it directly.

Give a Gift of Stock or Securities: Use this form: Stock Donation Form to make a gift of stock or other appreciated securities, potentially avoiding paying capital gains tax in the process!

To update payment information on an existing pledge, we kindly as that you call our office directly at 714-819-0049. For security purposes, a staff member will work directly with you to update your credit card # or banking information. Again, our office is fully staffed between the hours of 8am-5pm.

Each year every parish is asked to raise a specific amount for the PSA as part of its fair share in the mission and ministries of the Dicoese of Orange. This amount, aka the parish goal, is based on parish financials and is determined relative to all 69 parishes and centers in the diocese. 100% of every dollar raised by a parish above its goal is returned back to the parish to be used at the discretion of the pastor and/or parish leadership. Over the years, these “Parish Surpluses” have been used to funded renovation projects, building campaigns, youth programs and so many other vital local projects. This dynamic makes the PSA a truly unique opportunity to have both a local and global impact.
