Iron Sharpens Iron: A Ministry for Catholic Men

A: Iron Sharpens Iron is a Catholic young adult men’s ministry (18-39 year olds) focused on understanding ​God’s call on the life of a man and equipping men with practical tools to thrive in today’s world as ​representatives of Jesus Christ.

A: The men’s ministry is for 18-39 year old’s in the Diocese of Orange. It is for the single, married, ​separated and widowed man. It is for the man who has kids and who does not.

A: We will have 3 different options running at the same time. Two will be in person and one will be ​online. If you need to attend a different location or jump into an online session because you will miss ​an in person session, cool! We will set you up for success. Just let us know.

A: Iron Sharpens Iron is comprised of three, four-week series. You can take it one series at a time or do all ​three, four-week series in a row. We will have breaks in between each series to host men’s fellowship ​nights throughout Orange County and allow men to simply socialize.

A: Every session will consist of time for fellowship and friendship, video episodes from the Knights of ​Columbus “Into the Breach” series on relevant masculine topics by some of the biggest names in the ​Catholic world (e.g., Jeff Cavins, Jason Evert, Dr. Scott Hahn, Curtis Martin, Fr. Mike Schmitz), small ​group opportunity for reflection and practical tools exploration. If requested, there will be battle ​buddy’s to pray with you.

A: Sure thing! Bring him to the session and we will get his info there to get him materials for the sessions.

A: It is all good. Although we want you to be at all the meetings and feel that you will get the most value ​by attending all the meetings, the sessions are independent. We want you here because we know the ​Lord wants to do something special but also understand life happens.

A: The ministry is free to attend. Bring some money if you would like to purchase food or beverages at the ​neutral venues for in person cohorts. When we offer special Iron gatherings, there will be some cost ​associated with those events.
