Diocese of Orange Appoints Hank Evers as Interim Director of Strategic Communications
Garden Grove, Calif. (August 13, 2018) – The Most Rev. Kevin Vann, Bishop of Orange, has named veteran executive Hank Evers as the Interim Director of Strategic Communications for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange.
Mr. Evers joins the Diocese as Catholics across Orange County prepare to celebrate the dedication of Christ Cathedral on July 17, 2019. He fills the role recently vacated by Ryan Lilyengren, who served as Communications Director for six years before joining the Irvine Company as Senior Director of Communications.

About Hank Evers
- Most Recent Role: For the past seven years, Evers served as Director of Development and Communications for the Orange Catholic Foundation, where he managed the annual Conference on Business & Ethics and led strategic marketing communications.
- Corporate Experience: Prior to his work with the Foundation, his experience includes managing multinational sales and marketing efforts at:

- Sony
- Thales Avionics
- M.C. Gill Corporation
- Local Business: He managed operations for the Doan Law Firm based in San Clemente.
- Volunteer Service: He has served as the volunteer director of public relations for the California State Council of the Knights of Columbus and served on the board of St. Edward the Confessor Parish School.
- Personal: The youngest of 12 children, he and his wife, Lori, have four children and seven grandchildren.
