BACKGROUND

I was born at Fountain Valley Hospital and grew up in Anaheim. My parents are Catholic and raised me in the faith. My father is a teacher and my mother is a nurse. I have a younger brother, who is also a nurse.
I attended Loara HS in Anaheim and Roseman University in Henderson, NV for my Nursing Degree. I received my Masters Degree from CSU Dominguez Hills in Nursing Administration.
I was involved in the altar server ministry for many years which was part of my discernment to enter seminary.

What are some of the factors that led to your decision to enter the seminary and discern the question of a vocation to the priesthood?

– Experiencing priests that were great role models to me.

– Altar serving since the 5th grade, falling in love with liturgy.

– Traveling the world and seeing the beauty of the Catholic faith and the universality of the Church and feeling a call to be a part of it through the priesthood.

– Working as a nurse in a Catholic hospital, caring for the sick, seeing the priests minister to the sick and dying, and accompanying those until death.

Who are some of the people who influenced your decision to enter the seminary? What is it about them that assisted you?

My pastor at the time, now Bishop Freyer, had a significant influence on my decision to enter the seminary and discern a vocation to the priesthood.

Describe the moment that you knew you wanted to take the next steps to become a priest?

This was about a two year process for me.
Spending more time spent in Eucharistic Adoration. Going to the Sacrament of Reconciliation more often. Praying the Rosary more often.
