Little Sisters Of The Poor Jeanne Jugan Residence

The Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor was founded in France by St. Jeanne Jugan in 1839 with the mission to serve the elderly poor. Today 2,014 Little Sisters serve in over 172 homes in 32 countries. The Little Sisters minister to the needy elderly regardless of race of religion by providing them a warm home and loving care. The Little Sisters have served in Los Angeles since 1905. In their San Pedro Residence, they offer four levels of care: Independent living apartments, residential, assisted and skilled nursing.

St. Francis Home

A caring home for elderly women. No restrictions for residents as to race or religion. Applicants must provide a physician’s certificate stating she is free from mental and contagious disease. Application must be filed with the Administrator.
