DiĆ³cesis de Orange: Centavos del Cielo

OVERVIEW

Since 1994, the Diocese of Orange has been collecting funds to support local Respect Life shelters, clinics, and centers that give immediate and long-term care to Orange County women, men, and families in crisis. This collection, held at most parishes on the first Sunday of October, is one substantial way that our diocese promotes a culture of life in our community and helps to support the Walking with Moms in Need initiative. These donations also serve as an opportunity for parishioners to participate in formation around life issues and practical efforts to help our neighbors affected by threats to the life and dignity of the human person.

SHELTERS, CLINICS & CENTERS

Your coins and dollars to support local Respect Life shelters, clinics, and centers that give immediate and long-term care to Orange County residents affected by threats to the life and dignity of the human person. Here are more details about the organizations we support:

Casa Teresa: Located in the City of Orange, Casa Teresaā€™s goal is to help women who have chosen life for their baby by providing a temporary home. They also provide group counseling in childbirth, nutrition, parenting, mental health, finance, educational aid, job training, and spiritual guidance.

Horizon Pregnancy Clinic:  Located in Huntington Beach, Horizon Pregnancy Clinic is a God led non-profit that provides FREE and Confidential Pregnancy Medical Services to include: pregnancy Tests, ultrasounds, education/mentor program (Earn While You Learn), options counseling, Reality Check ā€“ a sexual integrity program, White as Snow ā€“ Post Abortion Recovery Program.  We strive to meet the needs of the mother, the father and the unborn child in Huntington Beach and the surrounding communities.  Horizon is a place for women to find a safe, loving place for Hope and Healing!  HORIZON IS MOBILE!  This allows us to go to other centers like the Life Center of Santa Ana ā€“ Walking With Moms and park in front of abortion clinics.  Our mobile clinic arrived September 1st 2015!  God is good! Please join us as we continue to pray for Godā€™s provisions.

Life Centers: Located in Santa Ana and La Habra. Life Centers are Pregnancy Resource Centers offering free self-administered pregnancy tests, infant and maternity supplies and clothing, client advocacy, and medical referrals. The La Habra Life Center has now become a Pregnancy Clinic. Now that they are a licensed medical clinic, they are able to provide ultrasound exams.

Maryā€™s Path: Maryā€™s Path provides safe and loving shelter for girls under eighteen years of age with crisis pregnancies. There are many programs for the girls designed to help them develop maturity, responsibility, self-esteem, ensure the health of the mother and child, develop skills, and set future goals.

Obria Medical Clinics:  Obria Medical Clinics are fully-licensed community care clinics providing professional medical consultations, pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasounds, STD testing, HIV/AIDS testing, abortion education, well women care and prenatal care. We provide the support and answers you need in regards to your sexual health. Your health and well-being are important to everyone at Obria Medical Clinics. The Obria Clinic in Orange County is located in Santa Ana.

Precious Life Shelter: Located in Los Alamitos, the Precious Life Shelter provides both emergency and transitional housing, food, and safe living conditions for homeless women in crisis pregnancies. The shelter aids needy women age eighteen or older regardless of race, creed, financial or marital status.

Vietnamese Hot Line: These 24-hour hotlines with trained client advocates that offer free client advocacy, self-administered pregnancy testing, infant supplies and medical referrals to Vietnamese pregnant women in crisis.
