- Receives assignments from the editor
- Researches story topics, interviews sources, attends events
- Writes drafts of the articles
- Provide rewrites when needed
Freelance Writer Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English or creative writing (preferred)
- Several years of writing experience
- Writing sample, resume
- Organizational and time management skills in order to meet set deadlines
- Computer proficiency
- Basic knowledge of AP style
A completed Diocese of Orange application and resume is required for all open positions.
