DESCRIPTION:Looking to meet someone with the same faith and values? You’re more than a profile. It’s time for a fresh approach. \nThe night of the event you’ll show up at the hosting venue early so we can get everyone situated and checked in before the event starts. You’ll be greeted by the event hosts who will welcome you\, explain the structure of the event\, and answer any remaining questions before kicking things off. You’ll also be given an oh-so-important match card that you’ll use to indicate interest in anyone you’d like to get to know further. As the evening progresses\, you’ll engage in a series of short conversations with eligible singles of the opposite gender. A typical event involves 10-15 conversations\, with each one lasting 6 minutes. There’s a 30-second buffer in between each session to allow for wrapping up conversations and for the men to rotate to the next table. There’s also a 10-minute break at the midpoint of the event. Altogether\, the event runs for approximately 2 hours. \nAfter the event\, everyone’s match cards are collected. After we’ve tabulated everyone’s match preferences\, we’ll send each participant a personalized email with their results. When mutual interest is indicated\, we send both participants the other’s contact information\, and you take it from there. DESCRIPTION:For 10 years\, we have gone into our neighborhoods to serve and address needs\, just as our founding Sisters did 375 years ago in Le Puy\, France. This year\, we will tend to community gardens\, clean up riverbeds\, cook and serve meals\, pack food boxes\, clean for families\, build community\, support unhoused families\, and so much more! \nIn the early years of the beginning of the Sisters of St. Joseph in France around 1650\, the Sisters gathered in 3’s or 4’s to live in community and to serve the needs of the “dear neighbor” around them. They would go out into the neighborhood and seek out those in need and do their best to meet the needs of the poor. DESCRIPTION:Here is your chance to win cash prizes and taste traditional Polish foods and experience Polish culture during the 46th Annual Dozynki Harvest Festival at the Pope John Paul II Polish Center on Saturday\, September 20\, and Sunday\, September 21\, 2025.\n\nPope John Paul II Polish Center will be raffling off cash prizes of $5\,000.00\, $3\,000.00 and $1\,000.00 and many other prizes at this year’s harvest festival. The opportunity drawings for the cash prizes will be on Sunday\, September 21\, 2025\, at 3:00 p.m. Winners need not be present. Raffle tickets may be purchased for $5.00 each.\n\nFood and music go hand-in-hand at a harvest celebration. The Dozynki will feature Polish folk dancers in traditional costumes\, games for kids\, and a special concert by the band\, Trio Stekla\, led by Paulina Stekla\, a famous vocalist and actress from Poland.\n\nPlease come and enjoy delicious Polish food such as freshly prepared stuffed cabbage\, traditional pierogi\, authentic Polska kielbasa and Polish beer.\n\nDozynki is a celebration of thanksgiving after a bountiful harvest that dates back to 16th century Poland. It remains a long-standing tradition in Polish communities throughout the world\, including the United States and Canada.\n\nThe festival will be held on Saturday\, September 20\, from noon to 11:00 p.m. and Sunday\, September 21\, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\n\nThe Polish Center is located at 3999 Rose Drive in Yorba Linda one block south of Imperial Highway.
