Guadalupe: Holy Art in the Streets
The influences Catholic faith and spirituality in urban art will be on display in Costa Mesa at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23.
Featuring USC art expert Lisa Pon, Ph.D., in conversation with renowned muralist Fabian Debora, “Guadalupe: Holy Art in the Streets” will explore the influence of Catholicism and the presence of the Virgin Mary in street art across Southern California. The free event will be held at the Hilton Orange County in Costa Mesa and is hosted by the Institute for Advanced Catholic Studies at USC.
Debora painted the Our Lady of Guadalupe mural at St. Anne School in Santa Ana. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of the Americas and the Diocese of Orange.
