Good Grief! Here Come the Holidays
November 15, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am
For most people, the holidays are highly anticipated days of family celebration, reunion, gift giving and fun.
Others dread the holidays, or simply endure them. For them, the holidays represent loss and loneliness.
If you have recently lost a loved one or you have had losses in the past that cause you to associate sorrow with the holidays, you are invited to this retreat.
A simple time of retreat and reflection for persons who have suffered loss and are experiencing bereavement. In addition to reflection, practical suggestions for how to “be” during the holiday season will be offered. Treat yourself to a little TLC as we move through this busy time.
There is no cost to attend.
There are two sessions:
Morning: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Evening: 7 to 9 p.m.
Facilitator: Dr. Kathy Schinhofen
Kathy holds a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling. She is an active counselor and presenter in the field of Pastoral Care and Counseling for Loyola Marymount University, the Franciscan School of Theology and the Diocese of Orange .
Sponsored by the Office of Pastoral Care for Families in All Stages of the Diocese of Orange.
