The Knights of Columbus
The largest and oldest Catholic fraternal, service and family organization in the world. Founded in 1882 by Rev. Michael J. McGivney, Curate of St. Mary’s Parish in New Haven, Connecticut. The Knights of Columbus presently has over 1,800,000 members serving their parishes, schools and communities in over 10,000 councils in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Philippines, Guam and Poland. Last year, the membership volunteered over 60,000,000 man-hours for charity and raised over $150,000,000 for the disabled and youth, parishes and schools and vocations.
