On Dec. 11, Christmas cheer was in the air at the Pastoral Center on the campus of Christ Cathedral in Garden Grove. In lieu of the annual Christmas Mass and luncheon, the Department of Catholic Schools hosted a Christmas gift drive-thru for Catholic school principals.

Christmas is a time of anticipation and joy, especially at the schools. While Advent and Christmas celebrations look different this year, the superintendent’s office wanted to let the school principals and teachers know that they are loved and appreciated. The Department of Catholic Schools decorated and filled baskets with individually wrapped Christmas goodies for school staffs.

“It was wonderful to see principals in person, even if it was from a safe distance,” said Superintendent Dr. Erin Barisano.

Each school received plenty of Christmas cheer to get them through the final week before the Christmas break.
