Purpose
Building upon the pastoral and professional experience of its members,
the Board will assist in an advisory capacity the diocesan Office
for Worship in the local church. The Board will also assist (act
as a "Working Board") in the implementation of this goal
in its standing committees.
Responsibility
Together with the Office for Worship, the Board will have as its
main responsibility four specific areas as the relate to the catechumenate
and its development:
- providing a vehicle through which parish catechumenate
ministers can express their needs and concerns;
- program planning;
- providing of resources to all involved in catechumenal
ministries;
- evaluation of growth and development of the
catechumenate in the local church through its four subcommittees.
Accountability
The Board will be accountable to four programs:
the diocesan Office for Worship which is directly accountable to
the diocesan Bishop;
the people of God in the Diocese of Orange;
catechumenate teams in the Diocese of Orange;
on another on the Board.
