Orange Catholic Foundation

Who We Are

The Orange Catholic Foundation was established by Bishop Tod D. Brown in November, 2000, under the Non-profit Religious Corporation Law – 469-e, for the purpose of securing the financial future of the Catholic Diocese of Orange. The Orange Catholic Foundation is a separate and independently governed 501 (C)(3) Corporation, established to provide a permanent source of funding for the religious and educational mission of the Diocese.

The Orange Catholic Foundation ensures complete transparency and accountability in all its activities and interactions with donors and investors, volunteers, and all clergy and laypersons in parishes, centers, schools and other ministries.

The Catholic Diocese of Orange is proud to offer a myriad of Catholic services to people in Orange County, California. It is through the work of the Orange Catholic Foundation that many of these services are financially supported. These services include parish ministries, seminarians, student scholarships, retirement needs for priests and miscellaneous Catholic services within the Diocese.

The Orange Catholic Foundation administers the Pastoral Services Appeal Diocesan annual campaign; runs the Bishop’s Circle major gifts annual campaign; offers tailored advancement services to parishes and diocesan schools through its Parish Representatives program; and presents the Annual Conference on Business and Ethics.

It manages and creates endowment funds in perpetuity as well as donor advised funds; nurtures planned giving, stewardship and resource development; and acquires, manages and distributes financial gifts and bequests in support of the work of the Church of Orange.

The Orange Catholic Foundation will raise additional resources to support Catholic programs, parishes and services throughout Orange County in California by encouraging stewardship and developing leaders for the local Church of Orange.
